Aidan Kahn

I’m Aidan Kahn. I am a filmmaker, actor, journalist, and musician. I’m a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. I have a B.A. in Political Science from Vassar College and a master’s degree from the Columbia School of Journalism. I also spent time studying at the Institut d'études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and I speak French. I'm an alumnus of Interlochen Arts Camp (violin) and a level 10 graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music. I started work in movies and TV by schlepping gear around film sets and working as an assistant to Emmy-winning casting director Jackie Lind. I’ve written, directed, and/or produced award-winning short films, music videos, ads, and one feature film so far. I’ve performed music professionally on film sets, in studios, and on stage, including at Austin’s SXSW. I was a series regular in HBO's ill-fated (i.e. sitting half-finished in a vault somewhere) prestige series LEWIS AND CLARK starring Casey Affleck and produced by Brad Pitt and Tom Hanks for which I also served as a composer, arranger, fiddle player, and music consultant. I played Zach Stoll in season 3 of IZOMBIE on the CW, and have had recurring or guest star roles in THE GOOD DOCTOR, LAW & ORDER, Neil Labute's VAN HELSING, SUPERNATURAL (CW), THE HEALING POWERS OF DUDE (Netflix), Greg Daniels’ Amazon series UPLOAD and more. I’m currently directing a feature-length documentary about two men who spent more than 30 years in prison for a crime they didn’t commit, as well as doing freelance journalism, writing and pitching TV and film projects, and producing.

Then there was a knock on the door, I opened the door, and the new gerbil walked in. The children cheered wildly.”
